  I admit that I understand why it was Peeta in the end.

  But Gale was there from the beginning, Gale knew how messed up the government was the whole time and he kept telling Katniss about it every time they went off into the woods together, she just didn’t pay as much attention until she was knee-deep in the bullsh*t that was the Hunger Games. And he loved her, he loved her the whole time, and I really believed she loved him. It’s one of the few times I’ve shipped a couple that didn’t work out.
