Have you ever had an outfit you’ve loved, but at the same time don’t feel confident wearing?
I do, and that outfit is this dress. I don’t wear dresses often at all, I feel very exposed when I wear them. I feel silly. I feel as though if I walk by someone they will look at me and think “She should NOT be wearing that, she looks ridiculous.”
Why I like this dress:
- It is a lovely color and it isn’t quite animal print (which I wouldn’t wear)
- The cut. It is flowy and fun.
- It isn’t too feminine, but still decidedly delicate.

How many times have I worn this dress in public: 1

Why I hate this dress:
- I am sure you have noticed even through my poor picture taking skills (sorry), but if not, may I point out to you my upper arms. I have struggled with them all of my life. Even when I was much skinnier, my arms were always big. Wearing this dress makes me feel very exposed when it comes to my upper arms.
- My chest is large, I have to wear a bra. The straps of both look very awkward, and it hangs differently on my body because of its placement. Seems like an easy fix…wear a shrug, right? Wrong! Find a shrug that matches both color and style and I will hug you. I have yet to find one (that is affordable).
I don’t post a lot of pictures of myself because I appreciate some anonymity on here. However, I am opening up a bit for you all.
